Why the Handle looks Different

To hold and control better than any other toothbrush. Even children and people with arthritis will find a Guiding toothbrush easier to hold and control.

The flat wide handle stops the handle of the Guiding toothbrush twisting in your hand when brushing. The handle also has two identical thumb grips. One on the front and the other on the back. If you put your thumb in one thumb grip and the side of your index finger in the other thumb grip it will allow you to hold and control the Guiding toothbrush better than any toothbrush you have ever used.

The other reason the handle looks different is to allow it to flex when you start applying excessive pressure. This feature of the handle is NOT child proof and you can brush too hard but you do have to try. Think of the handle flexing as a guide which is why they are called Guiding toothbrushes.

Brushing too hard will prevent the toothbrush cleaning as well as it could and also make the toothbrush wear out quicker.
